From pop-up to permanent: My vintage booth is at Penny Lane to stay

What a rush! My week-long vintage goods pop-up was a whirlwind of action, so much so that yesterday afternoon I flopped onto the couch – with my aching feet up – and stayed there. For hours. Sweatpants. Pistachio nuts. I even watched 'Fraiser,' much of which remains sharp and witty btw.
The shopping, cleaning, logging, pricing, tagging, packing, moving, displaying, and styling is work. The shopping and styling, in particular, wreak havoc on the feet – so much standing and staring. Too bad those are also my favorite parts of this new venture.
I got to meet up with friends in the booth, watch people shop and in a few fabulous cases, ruin my styling, to get at and buy some of my things. I went into the store nearly every day to bring in additional vintage finds and to style and style again. By mid-week I was asking about a permanent space. And watch what you ask for because I got it. And we moved into the new location on Monday!

This won’t be my main thing - as interior design for clients is the thing – but this is FUN. I love learning about designers and reusing and finding those high-quality things that are made by real people and that stand out in some real way. Pre-loved items that were loved for a reason. They come at every price point too, so rest assured you can find something in my booth for your lake-view living room or for your dorm room.
Speaking of, I’ll need more of those things to fill this space and feed the ever-growing vintage-loving market. So if you know of anyone downsizing, or just wanting to let go of their beloved items, feel free to reach out. I’d love to talk to people about selling to me so I can find the next good home for those things.
This also gives me a reason to get more into the flea market scene, especially in France. I’m going to try to keep a French section in the booth as well as mid-century goods from furniture to lighting to glassware. My eye goes to Scandinavian items but really, anything that is made by hand and/or has a certain je-ne-sais-quoi, is something I’d consider bringing to the people. I’m also considering architectural finds such as door handles... What would you like to see in there that you’ve been wanting to find? Let me know in comments or send me a message!
